Marcell Esterhazy After graduating from the Hungarian Fine Arts University, Intermedia specialization, Marcell Esterházy has lived and worked in Marseille and Paris for over ten years. He has received the Lucien and Rudolf Hervé Special Award in 2004, the Stúdió Prize in 2009, holds the Derkovits scholarship since 2009, and has been nominated for the Arendt Award of European Month of Photography. His works can be found as well in renowned museum collections like the Ludwig Museum in Budapest, the Contemporary Arts Museum of Marseille (MAC), the Institute for Contemporary Arts of Dunaújváros (ICA-D), the Szent István Museum in Székesfehérvár, the Kiscelli Museum on Budapest, as in numerous private collections. In Hungary he is reprezented by the acb Gallery from Budapest, that prezented this summer in a new exhibition the artist`s recent works. The FACTUM exhibition`s central idea was the accessibility of reality and the reliability of pictorial representations. |
