The exhibition Geologies of Absence is a meditative process that helps us delve into the world that remains after the erosion of presence. The exhibition traces the material and emotional layers of disappearance – landscapes, bodies and histories as they slowly dissolve into the final silence. Through drawings and paintings, the artist explores the void left behind by withdrawal, extinction and forgetting. However, these works do not actually depict absence, but rather give it texture, form and resonance. The sediments, dust and data become geological witnesses – records, memories of an Anthropocene world embedded in landscapes, plants, stone and signs. |
