A different world, a different dimension.
The vertical painting technique is a constant dialogue with gravity. The line is indicating that you are here or there in the universe. To be in a completely different place.
Working with black is hard when you cannot see the reflections of the light because of the black surface. The paint marks are marks of sudden movements, so the presence of the unintentional creates certain dynamism.
It creates a different world.
Two inspiration sources have to be mentioned: Pierre Soulages with his color and Fabienne Verdier with his painting technique.
A special feeling is given to the exhibition by the set-up of the installation: the works are placed on the ceiling.
