The rib cages hanging like dead carcasses in the exhibition, are the paradox of life itself that is regulated by respiration, as it starts with the first and ends with the last breath. The spinal column rotates in a helical motion with a breath of wind.
The rib cages (during the process of their creation from polyurethane foam) expand simulating the movement of the breath, the skeletal shapes become organics porous and spongy.
The breath regulates emotions, connecting the mind, with the nervous system. In our hectic time we are forced to troubles, worries, anxieties and fears that sometimes affect the rhythm of the breath. We must remember to breathe more slowly, to raise awareness, so the quality of our thoughts, our quality of life.
