The exhibition entitled The Memory of Space proposes a materialization of the disappearance of a space that was once pulsing with life, a place that holds a sentimental load. Places or areas that we knew for years, maybe even since childhood, will not remain unchanged forever. They are in a constant change, and so are the people from those places, which disappear eventually, so the space gets abandoned, finally being grasped by nature.
The only thing that remains is memory, the memory of that place. The space becomes timeless in our memory, giving birth to a place where multiple variations of memories are overlapped, and subsequently they will remain buried in us.
In The Memory of Space the space of the virtual memory is engaged over the space where the artist`s work is exhibited, therefore a new image, a new reality is coming to life through the fusion of these two.
